Sam and Jackie Shepherd undertook the all important tug of war draw – supervised by Mark Merrick.

The Sunday afternoon tug of war is a marquee event on the Greenwich Games schedule with each team pitting brawn and brain against each other in a titanic struggle of strength.

The 2016 Tug Of War draw sees the 2012 winners Commerce pitted against the Anarchists in a round 1 replay of the 2012 final, the Governators will hit the rope against the Engineers, the Builders and Natives will engage in an epic round 1 struggle, and the Heroes and Tribe will face off for a place in the semi-finals.
